Climb up to the Aso Nakadake crater at 1260m high through the road called "kusa no michi", or the "weeds' road" which was once a path for mountain ascetics, and get up close to the crater emitting smoke.
If you are not confident in your physical strength, the electric motor will provide powerful assistance, so you can participate comfortably and with ease.
You can leave your luggage with us, so you can enjoy the grasslands of Aso in a light style.

A portion of the tour participation fee will be returned to the grassland Association as funds for conservation activities of the "Millennium Grassland." Your participation in this tour will help preserve the grassland, and you will become a "guardian of the grassland".

From the bottom of the caldera at Aso Station, at about 500 meter above sea level, to the Aso Nakadake crater (elevation 1,300m), there is an elevation difference of 800m. (2600ft)
You then get to enjoy the best views of the mount Aso crater. Going back down, the caldera opens up in front of you. Aso's magnificent nature awaits you here.

This was a unique way to see Kyushu, and it is one of the most memorable things I have done as a tourist in Japan. Riding through the grasslands and seeing Mount Aso and the surrounding area by bike it something I will never forget. This is an experience I would highly recommend to anyone who likes the outdoors or cycling. Joe was an excellent guide and I am grateful for his expertise and knowledge.
If you looking for a crater tripoff the beaten track than this is the one. Joe, the guide, has special access to an area with no tourist. It was a pure and exceptional tour. The bikes, the views, were just great. Joe is an excellent guide, good communication before the trip and prepared everything so well. You are in safe and good hands with Joe. De e bikes are in good condition and Joe follows with a car which is really practical and a safety net for just in case. You leave your stuff with Joe and you can cycle without any bags and other stuff. He also makes beautiful pictures during the trip. So instead of taking the car, take this great e-bike tour.
